Persona Profile

We believe that AI is negatively effecting teenagers in secondary school and college because of how it is impacting their ability to learn, work and think critically. This happens because in schools, students are either overusing AI for simple questions or using it in a manner inappropriate for school, e.g. using AI to do all work on a project without putting in any input themselves. This happens because AI is becoming more accessible as time goes on and is often viewed as 'the easy way out' for questions. This issue matters because if students become too dependent on AI to answer questions, their ability to solve problems on their own in the real world will be hindered, and they may retain knowledge less easily, which will worsen this same problem.
