Persona Profile

The problem we are trying to solve is a lack of access to extra curriculars, and how this can affect the mental health of young people. We believe this is important because when people do not do extra curriculars, they tend to spend more time on their phones, and this can affect your mental health negatively. Lack of community could lead to a feeling of isolation. Mental health is important for everyday life and to complete everyday activities.
We want to make sports and other extra-curriculars more easily accessible to young people, as exercising, joining a community, and having more creative outlets can improve a teen's mental health, rather than staying home or on their phone all day.
We think that a portion of Social Welfare should be set aside so that children of low income households can take part in sports, music lessons, and other activities despite costs. Sports and music can be expensive, but they have an undeniable effect on the mental health of young people. We think that the costs of one activity should be paid for per child from the ages of 6 to 18 if they have a low income or apply for this benefit and meet requirements.
