We have decided to focus on the theme of climate anxiety. This is the feeling of fear and uncertainty due to climate change and its impact on our world, both presently and in the future. Many people in Ireland experience climate anxiety and struggle to express their feelings and find support, which can lead to individuals feeling isolated, even though they are not alone. This is a vital topic to discuss and combat due to its impacts on the mental health and wellbeing of many people. We believe that by connecting people who undergo this mental combat, a strong and productive community of individuals can be formed. These like-minded people can then come together and make change for the better, both for the environment and each other, by sharing their problems and coming up with solutions together. “A problem shared is a problem halved.”
