Persona Profile

The problem we are trying to solve is "Tackling Poverty". Approximately 700 million people worldwide are affected by extreme poverty. We have noticed many people are under educated when it comes to managing their own personal finances, particularly those in low income full time jobs who may be struggling to pay for basic or essential needs. Other times young people may struggle to differentiate between needs and wants and therefore struggle to keep within their weekly budgets. The rising cost of living and levels of inflation also have a part to play in this problem. We saw this problem and we decided we wanted to do something about it. We have decided to design an app in order to help those struggling with poverty. Our app uses a daily, weekly or monthly log to track spending according to the user's preference. We also will have a traffic light colour system on the user dashboard to keep it in an easy format for all users to easily and effectively track their spending and overall budget health. We will also give them a percentage between essential and non essential expenses on a visual template ie] pie chart. The app will also give the user rewards and positive messages when they reach goal savings or keep within their budgets.
